1. Why did you initially want to join TK资源 as a summer intern?

When reviewing my听previous听work experience and skills,听I found that I听had a gap in technical/hard skills within the marketing space. I had completed strategy work which occurs at a very high-level, but I wanted more tangible skills to add to my toolkit.

2.鈥疻hat was your favorite part of the internship?

鈥疘 loved the variety of work I got to complete from copywriting, to email building, to web development, I got to try it all. I also loved working with听a great team听with many different skill sets.

3.鈥疻hat are your biggest takeaways from your summer with TK资源?

Don鈥檛听underestimate the power of observation. You can learn a lot just by listening, and asking insightful questions, or questioning processes, but听you鈥檝e听got to identify听them first.

4. What is one piece of advice you would share with future interns?

The more you do the more听you鈥檒l听learn. While a manager will have a plan to support you, take the initiative to ask your colleagues what you can get involved with and your experience will be听very rewarding.

1. Why did you initially want to join TK资源 as a summer intern?

I chose to join TK资源 as a summer intern to gain hands-on experience and deepen my understanding of the energy sector that鈥檚 not only important to the province but also to North America as a whole. TK资源鈥檚 position as one of North America鈥檚 largest retail energy providers, combined with its focus on innovation and customer solutions, made it an ideal environment to learn and contribute to meaningful work.

2. What was your favorite part of the internship?

My favorite part of the internship was getting the chance to visit Houston and see NRG鈥檚 headquarters. It was a great experience to see how operations work on a larger scale and to connect with professionals and other interns across the company. Another highlight for me was the culture here, everyone has been so welcoming and supportive, and it really created an environment where I felt encouraged to learn and contribute.

3. What are your biggest takeaways from your summer with TK资源?

My biggest takeaway from this internship has been the amount of learning I鈥檝e gained in both finance and the energy industry overall. A lot of these concepts and experiences aren鈥檛 things you normally learn in school like working with real financial data, seeing how decisions impact the business, and understanding how different teams collaborate to drive results. It gave me perspective on how the industry opeTK资源 day-to-day, and that hands-on exposure has been incredibly valuable.

4. What is one piece of advice you would share with future interns?

One piece of advice I鈥檇 share is to always ask the right questions, pay close attention to detail, and most importantly, stay curious. That mindset not only helps you learn faster but also makes the work more meaningful.

Hobbies/Talent: Rereading books I read when I was 15, making specific Pinterest boards nobody asked for, travelling everywhere life takes me!

1.听Why did you initially want to join TK资源 as a summer intern?

I鈥檝e always been interested in the energy space, and what stood out to me about TK资源 is how it provides something so central to people鈥檚 lives: electricity and gas. That everyday impact really inspired me. With the challenges of climate change, I wanted to learn how a major energy player thinks about greener solutions while still meeting everyday needs. That鈥檚 what made me want to join as a summer intern.

2.听What was your favorite part of the internship?

Easy: the capstone project. Not just because Team Canada won (even though that was pretty cool), but because that鈥檚 when it all clicked for me. It was the moment I realized how much I had absorbed over the summer, and finally got the reins to actually use that knowledge with my team. We got to build something from scratch, stay user-focused, test ideas, throw some out, bring new ones in: it was intense, creative, and really empowering.

3.听What are your biggest takeaways from your summer with TK资源?

Talent is great, but it means nothing without consistency and follow-through. This summer taught me that discipline, time management, and clear communication are the real game-changers. You can have the best ideas in the world, but if you can鈥檛 deliver them in time (or explain them clearly), they don鈥檛 land.

4.听What is one piece of advice you would share with future interns?

Say yes to things. Even if they feel intimidating, even if you鈥檙e not sure you鈥檙e ready, especially then. As long as you鈥檙e not stretched too thin, lean into the unknown. That鈥檚 usually where the magic (and growth) happens.
